Central European Policy Institute
The Central European Policy Institute (CEPI) is a regional think-tank based in Bratislava, Slovakia. Its main objective is to help decision-makers and opinion-makers in Central Europe - and in V4 countries in particular - to craft common responses to current challenges and strengthen their voice in EU and NATO debates. The Visegrad Group (Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia) will be strong only if its responses are built on shared understanding of the importance of liberal democracy, freedom and transatlantic bond. In today’s changing security environment, these values are at stake and must not be taken for granted. CEPI committed itself to advocate for upholding such principles both at home and abroad.
By engaging the region’s top experts and institutions, CEPI produces publications and undertakes advocacy activities that cover and highlight topics of security and defence, Central Europe and EU’s Eastern and South-Eastern neighbourhood. From regular face-to-face meetings with key decision-makers to roundtables with government professionals and briefings for expert communities, CEPI continuously works on building wider support behind its recommendations and drives domestic debates on relevant foreign policy and security issues.
CEPI is a member of Central European Strategy Council, an umbrella organization encompassing two other NGOs – the Slovak Atlantic Commission (SAC) and the Centre for European Affairs (CEA).
