On December 15, 2015, Professor Huang Ping, Director-General of the Institute of European Studies, had a meeting with Lauri Malksoo, Director of Estonian Foreign Policy Institute. Dr. Liu Zuokui, Director of the Division of Central and Eastern European Studies were also present.

Director Lauri Malksoo expressed his appreciation on the invitation to attend the Third High-Level Symposium of Think Tanks of China and Central and Eastern European Countries. He expressed his support on the establishment of China-CEEC Think Tanks Network and his institute was honored to become a member of the Network.

Director-General Huang Ping welcomed Director Malksoo for coming from afar to attend the symposium. He considered that cooperation between think tanks from China and Estonia is facing a great historical opportunity. Under the framework of 16+1 Cooperation, the great potential of bilateral cooperation will be further explored. 

Director Lauri Malksoo spoke highly of the great significance of the China-CEEC Think Tanks Network. 

Director Huang Ping also introduced the development process of the China-CEEC Think Tanks Network to Director Malksoo.
