Call for Papers for the World Economy Research Institute’s Annual Conference
The World Economy Research Institute at the Warsaw School of Economics is pleased to announce its 11th Annual Conference dedicated to competitiveness and innovation on June 13, 2016.
This year's Conference will focus on stimulating sustainable competitiveness through innovation, which is a goal in itself that can be achieved with appropriate institutional changes. The issue will be discussed from the theoretical, empirical and policy points of views.
We invite papers related to the following topics:
new approaches to innovation and their role in the process of building competitive advantages at the macro-, meso- and microeconomic levels;
impact of institutional change on innovation and on achieving sustainable competitive advantage;
innovation policy at different levels: national, regional, local.
PAPER SUBMISSION: Authors are invited to submit abstracts electronically (up to 250 words in MS Word or PDF format) to weri@sgh.waw.pl. Submissions should contain: the title, name(s) of the author(s), affiliation(s), address(es), telephone(s), fax number(s) and e-mail address(es).
Selected papers will be published in International Journal of Management and Economics or in the World Economy Research Institute's Working Paper series. It should be noted that these journals are subject to a peer-review process, and the highest standards and thematic relevance need to be followed in order to pass peer review.
DEADLINES: The deadline for abstract submissions is April 3, 2016. Notifications of acceptance will be sent to authors by April 18, 2016. Participants presenting a paper are asked to submit the full versions of their papers no later than May 15, 2016.
